Our Vision

2014-05-15 10.21.50 Remember the end of the film “Titanic”?

Imagine two main characters, floating out in the middle of the sea, declare their undying love. Then, suddenly, they decide to pray the sinner’s prayer, right before turning to the screen and saying (in unison), “You can pray to receive Jesus too, RIGHT NOW!”

No matter how truthful the message, our media-savvy culture would have rejected it. It seems like the traditional lines of communication are… broken. We need to communicate truth using visual stories in particular.

More than ever, stories have the power to help people form their values and beliefs. Jesus Film Project, realizing the power of story to communicate decided to create the Film Production department. Broken Phonebooth Productions is the filmmaking team within that department.

We represent many years of professional education and experience in media production, as well as years of direct field ministry both in the U.S. and abroad. Now, armed with state-of-the-art equipment, we’re using our skills and gifts of visual storytelling to communicate biblical truth.

Our mission is twofold. First, we want to make films that generate thought and discussion, helping move an unbelieving audience closer to accepting the truth of the Gospel. Second, to make discipleship-based films that help Christians learn how to walk with God. Our goal is simple—we want people to hear, consider, and eventually accept the message of Jesus Christ.
